N.E.M. Curriculum

The N.E.M. curriculum is taught uniformly amongst the entire membership at over 100 churches. The courses are designed to provide usable, practical skills and techniques for evangelism. We have experienced overwhelming success in equipping the Saints to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Here are the course descriptions:

Evangelism 101: INTRODUCTION TO EVANGELISM

This course is designed to introduce the individual believer to the basic biblical principles of the Evangelism process as set forth in scripture. The training will elevate the participant to an appreciative level of discipleship and a point of personal Christian commitment while developing a fundamental basis for ongoing learning.

Evangelism 102: PREPARATION FOR ON-THE-JOB TRAINING

This course is designed for the exploration, comprehension, and memorization of the seed-plot scriptures. The training will aid the participant in developing a model to present an effective and systematic approach to Christian witnessing.

Evangelism 103: ON-THE-JOB TRAINING

This course is designed to cover the Gospel plan in conversational form and the administrative process within the overall National Evangelism Movement. The training will develop the participant’s skills in the areas of witnessing, with particular emphasis on communication, and will also heighten the participant’s awareness of administrative procedures.

Evangelism 104: EVANGELISM PRACTICUM

This course is designed to develop a working basis for perfecting the art of “witnessing”. The training focuses on Focus “skill building.” The course will prepare participants for the practical application of previously studied materials in the Evangelism process.

Evangelism 105: RESPONDING TO FALSE DOCTRINE

An exploration of some of the current misconceptions and teachings of false doctrines. The training will prepare the Believer to recognize the characteristics of cultist groups and to confidently use and manage the Word of God in responding to these false teachings.

Evangelism 106: METHODS AND TECHNIQUES OF EVANGELISM

An exploration and analysis of the methods and techniques for witnessing which are applicable in ministering to the spiritual, psychological and temporal needs of the local congregation of the church. Participants will be effective and knowledgeable in “meeting people where they are” and identifying the needs of others through self-exploration.

Evangelism 107: AN APPROACH TO EVANGELISM THROUGH COUNSELING TECHNIQUES

An exploration and analysis in the areas of counseling methods and techniques as they relate to the Gospel Plan and Christian Counseling. Participants will develop a strategy for individual and family counseling.

Evangelism 108: GROUP COUNSELING

This course is designed to utilize group counseling techniques for self-awareness and development of interpersonal skills. The student will understand how self-awareness is accomplished and will become an effective group facilitator.
